Moss, Pine & a Little Christmas Magic! Three Creative Workshops Coming to Kingston 🌲🎄
Get ready, Kingston! We're bringing a little nature-inspired creativity and holiday magic to the Tett Centre this November!
On November 15, Fine Lines Landscape and Designs is hosting three unique, hands-on workshops where you'll have the opportunity to get creative, learn something new, and take home something beautiful that you've made yourself.
From colourful botanical moss art to handcrafted pine needle bells and fresh evergreen wreaths, there's something for everyone. Whether you're looking for a fun outing with friends, a little creative time for yourself, or a chance to make something special for the holidays, we've got you covered!
And the best part? No experience necessary, and all supplies are included!
🌿 Framed in Nature: A Botanical Moss Art Workshop
9:00 AM | $55 per person
Who says artwork needs paint?
Discover the beauty of botanical art as you transform a simple frame into a colourful, one-of-a-kind moss masterpiece!
Using preserved mosses, dried flowers, seed pods, bark, branches, and an assortment of natural embellishments, you'll create a piece that reflects your own personal style.
Go bold and colourful, soft and earthy, or completely wild and whimsical. There are no rules when it comes to creativity!
You'll leave with a finished piece of botanical artwork ready to hang in your home or give as a thoughtful handmade gift.
🔔 Forest of the Bells: A Holiday Pine Needle Weaving Workshop
11:00 AM | $40 per person
Ever imagined turning pine needles into a Christmas ornament?
In this unique workshop, we'll explore the traditional craft of pine needle weaving and transform natural materials into charming handmade holiday bells.
Using bundles of pine needles and colourful decorative cord, you'll learn how to shape and weave your own rustic bell ornament.
Hang it on your Christmas tree, incorporate it into a festive wreath or holiday arrangement, or give it as a meaningful handmade gift.
Each bell will have its own personality, and that's part of the beauty of working with natural materials!
🌲 Welcome Winter: A Winter Wreath Workshop
1:00 PM & 3:30 PM | $75 per person
Nothing says the holidays quite like the smell of fresh evergreens!
Join us for a festive wreath-making workshop where you'll create your very own lush winter wreath using fresh evergreen boughs, pinecones, berries, ribbons, and seasonal embellishments.
We'll guide you through building a beautiful, full wreath and adding those finishing touches that make it uniquely yours.
Whether you love traditional Christmas colours, a natural woodland look, or something a little more bold and festive, you'll head home with a gorgeous handcrafted wreath ready to display.
With two workshop times available, you can choose the session that works best for you!
💚 A Little Creativity Goes a Long Way
There's something pretty special about working with your hands, getting creative with natural materials, and watching an idea come to life.
All three workshops are led by Laura Moses, owner of Fine Lines Landscape and Designs, horticulturist, and workshop artist, who will guide you through each project step by step.
Whether you're a complete beginner or someone who loves getting crafty, these workshops are designed to be approachable, creative, and fun.
Come on your own, bring a friend, or sign up for more than one workshop and make a whole day of it!
